THE GR 65 (Santiago de Compostela
road)

Decazeville
is situated on the GR 65, Santiago de Compostela way.
The town is situated on the Via Podiensis which starts
from Le Puy en Velay (229 km from Decazeville) and been
a part of the stage Conques - Livinhac le Haut.
From Conques to Decazeville, the road is called "Lou
Camin Conquet" where you will discover panoramas
picturesque and varied as well as diversified architecture.
Two regions and three departments meet here : Auvergne
and Midi-Pyrénées, Aveyron, Lot and Cantal.
It is a "crossroad of contrasts".
The pilgrim will find in Decazeville all the services
(city hall, police, hospital complex, banks, post office,
SNCF, pharmacy) as well as all sorts of shops (bakeries,
supermarkets, steam-pressing, food, shoemaker, sporting
articles).
